Así se titula el libro de Philippe Manoeuvre, que recopila los 101 artículos de la revista Rock & Folk (de la que es redactor jefe) sobre otros tantos discos supuestamente "ideales", "imprescindibles", que no pueden faltar en toda buena discoteca que se precie.

Sobre este tipo de listas ya está todo dicho, pero sobre ésta en concreto hay que decir que contiene discos que no esperaríamos en una compilación de su estilo (¡Black Sabbath o Motörhead junto a Diana Ross y Michael Jackson!) y que esconde sorpresas muy, muy gratas (el álbum de Copperhead o el Parachute de los Pretty Things). También encontramos discos de ésos que parece que sólo aparecen en este tipo de listas por pura inercia, como los sobrevalorados Blonde on Blonde de Dylan o el Pet Sounds de los Beach Boys. No haberlos metido sería como no incluir a Ciudadano Kane en una lista de las 101 películas que cambiaron el mundo. Y, desgraciadamente, hay auténtica basura que no sabemos cómo se ha colado aquí dentro (el Tago Mago de Can, por ejemplo).
